As the market continues to explore valuable training opportunities to enhance the skills training the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments came re-affirmed their willingness to continue to work with the market players to provide value based training as well as continuous professional development.
Speaking during the signing ceremony CISI representative Ms. Karoline Parjor stated that CISI as an institute were more than ready to help in providing the requisite trainings on the market. She highlighted to several opportunities that market players as well as other interested people who seek knowledge in the securities market. She also expressed willingness for CISI to deploy its refresher courses as well as establish some mechanisms of continuous professional development for the market.
The President of CAMZ, Mr Nicholas Kabaso also stated during the signing ceremony of the MOU that “standardizing investment practice remains key to delivering economic growth through capital markets. We are aware as a market that some of the reasons why we have failed to deliver growth, has been the lack of standardized learning platforms, continuous professional development and lack of access to refresher training facilities.”
As part of the engagement process with CISI we hope to leverage off reduced cost of examinations for our members as well as increased market engagements via conferences and market networks with other peer associations across the continent.
