September 8, 2021The annual food inflation rate for August, 2021 was recorded at 31.6 percent compared to 31.2 percent recorded in July 2021, an increase of
0.4 percentage points. The annual non food inflation rate for August 2021 was recorded at 16.3 percent from 17.0 percent in July 2021. The decrease in inflation rate was mainly attributed to Price decreases in Purchases of Motor vehicles (Toyota Hilux, Toyota corolla, Nissan Almera 1.5 L Acenta , Nissan Hardbody).
